Chuck è una serie televisiva action-comedy statunitense, creata da Josh Schwartz e Chris Fedak. La serie racconta le vicende di un nerd che riceve da un vecchio amico, un agente della CIA, una e-mail criptata che scarica inconsciamente nel suo cervello tutti i segreti del supercomputer neurale Intersect, costruito da CIA e NSA come database centralizzato.

Prodotta dalla College Hill Pictures, Wonderland Sound and Vision e dalla Warner Bros. Television, la serie va in onda dal 24 settembre 2007 sul network americano NBC.

In Italia, la serie è trasmessa in prima visione assoluta dal 22 giugno 2008 su Steel di Premium Gallery. In chiaro è trasmessa dal 9 giugno 2009 su Italia 1.

Chuck Bartowski è un ventenne di Burbank, California, dove lavora come esperto di computer nel negozio di elettronica Buy More, insieme al suo migliore amico Morgan Grimes. Vive con la sorella Ellie e il cognato Devon “Capitan Fenomeno” Woodcomb, entrambi medici, che non perdono occasione per incoraggiare Chuck sia nella vita professionale che sentimentale.

All’inizio della prima stagione Chuck riceve una mail da Bryce Larkin, suo compagno all’Università di Stanford, che ora si rivela quindi agente della CIA. Quando apre la mail, l’intero database governativo contenente segreti militari, un supercomputer neurale chiamato Intersect, si installa nel suo cervello. Sia la Sicurezza Nazionale che la CIA inviano degli agenti, rispettivamente il maggiore John Casey e l’agente Sarah Walker, per recuperare i dati. Dal momento che le informazioni inviategli da Bryce sono state distrutte dal loro database originario, e poiché attraverso dei “flash” il database nel suo cervello si attiva automaticamente alla vista di volti, voci, parole chiave contenuti nei fascicoli segreti, Chuck è costretto ad aiutare utilizzando le sue conoscenze per il Governo. Al fine di preservare la sua sicurezza, Chuck deve mantenere la sua occupazione al Buy More e tenere il tutto segreto sia alla sua famiglia che agli amici. Gli agenti Casey e Walker rimangono accanto a Chuck, con la copertura rispettivamente di collega al Buy More e fidanzata.
